CHB Arts is a non-profit organization that supports women and gender minorities through artist residencies, as well as cultural and educational events in the Loire-et-Cher region.
1. Mission
Through an intersectional approach, we aim to give a voice to those who are underrepresented in the creative field and to support their projects.
Within our residency, special attention is given to the exchange of ideas, co-creation, and collective reflection — fostering human and artistic connections among residents and encouraging the emergence of new collaborative projects.
2. Values
Equity, as a core value, requires acknowledging historical inequalities and creating opportunities for those who have been excluded from access to the arts and cultural institutions.
3. Commitments
Our ambition is to support artists by providing an inclusive, caring, and inspiring environment — one that encourages experimentation, exchange, and the deepening of their artistic practice.
In this spirit, we commit to:
Promoting diversity, equity, inclusion,
and access to the residency for all;
Recognizing and valuing a wide range of artistic practices;
Implementing working, creative, and mentoring methods that take into account the diversity of artists’ and audiences’ perspectives;
Encouraging the expression of varied voices and viewpoints in the decision-making processes within our organization.
